I. love. Gerber.

The latest acquisition:

Sorry. I am in a violent mood today. Bear with me as best you can.

Sorry!

As you may have noticed, I forgot to tag anyone for that last tag.

This is difficult, for I have no idea who has already completed it! It seems to be going around with alarming rapidity!
I shall tag:
Gabrielle

Bekah

Lizzy

I am on a Veggie Tales craze, and I thought I might as well drag you all along with me. That's one of the great things about having younger siblings: you get to go back and watch all the videos you saw as a Little. Or maybe I'm just weird.
If you can believe it, I am working hard to commit this one to memory.

In which I bravely face my faults:

Are you ready for Ophelia to do some nice, "deep" self analysis? Ha! She's going to anyway. *Ahem*
I have noticed somethings dreadful, irritating and rather-ah! I did it again! To be precise, they are words:

"However"
I am always finding the other side of my own thoughts! Perhaps this comes of being a second child. Maybe it is because my estimable mother would sometimes tell me, "No "ifs" "ands" or "buts." I have attempted to circumvent this very familiar phrase with the word "however," seeing as "No 'if's' 'and's' 'buts' or 'however's'" has a vastly less harmonious sound. Alas! I am was (am?) one of those naughty children full of excuses.
"Rather"
I'll bet that you can find this word in every other post, for I am rather fond of it. Regarding my frequent use of "rather" I conclude that I must be a rather half-way person because I only "rather" like this, or "rather" think that etc. etc. etc. At least I have the consolation of knowing that I share this trait with Kay Thompson's Eloise, whom everybody loves. She uses the word rather (or rather, "rawther") on every other page!

However, I rather very much like those words and I have no inclination to cease using them! So I have brainstormed the perfect solution: NEGATIVE WORDS! My stupendous invention cancels out all past uses of "however" and "rather" and now I start with a clean slate. =D

- however [READ "NEGATIVE HOWEVER"]
- rather
- however
- rather
- however
- rather
- however
- rather
- however
- rather
- however
- rather
- however
- rather
- however
- rather

Now, owing to my genius negative words, I can use "rather" and "however" as much as I like!
P.S."Insanely" is in its own category, for I consistently use that exalted word on purpose.

P.P.S. I labeled this post "apology" but I am second guessing that decision. I don't sound very apologetic do I?

Fan Club

My dear, hopefully forgiving readers, I know I have already posted this, but those of you who haven't commented on it, please do so now. You see, I have been awfully lazy and I HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED this post. Do forgive me.
But it is coming soon. In fact, I shall go start it right... about... NOW.

YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO: The fourth Reluctant Dragon Fan Club meeting.

HOW: Simply comment below with a blogger name or nickname or something and list one "hidden talent" or completely random skill of yours, such as Champion Burger-Flipper, (You get the picture, right?)

WHY: So that I can write you into the next Reluctant Dragon Fan Club Meeting! That everyone who desire to "attend" will be satisfied.
P.S. You simply must read my other RDFC posts or this whole thing won't make any sense at all. Here they are:

Le Miserable

Okay, first let's establish that I am just being silly...

I am guilty of committing the unpardonable error! *Ahem!*When I type Unpardonable Error, I am referring to one of two things. The first is calling an Alpaca a "Llama" in the presence of an Alpaca lover. What happens when you call an Alpaca a Llama? The aforesaid alpaca lover turns slowly, with murderous eyes and gives a look that could quell Porthos if he weren't already dead. On this green earth, you will never receive such a look. These Alpaca people are dead serious when it comes to Alpacas, and it is a deadly trial to them to hear their Alpacas (of which it must be stated are much cuter) called "Llamas." (Exception: Amy! She is too nice to give murderous glances that chill the heart. Go read her blog: Sunny Sky, in my sidebar.)

The second is perhaps ten times as worse; it is to skip the 30 page description of the Battle of Waterloo in Le Miserable.

As I have laboured in the vocation of Alpaca Pasture Maintainer for almost three years, it is highly unlikely that the first fault is mine.

No, I have done the worst: I skipped that passage! With a smirk of triumph on my face, I flipped, and flipped, and flipped and flipped and flipped until finally! I came to the almost end, you know, the part where Thenarder is looting the battlefield. Then, I proceeded to read as if nothing had happened! And I don't even feel the least guilty because I am reading the tome solely for enjoyment, and that everlasting passage did certainly most NOT provide any enjoyment of mind or soul.

I guess now that I've made clean of it and made my poor gentle readers read about my lazy reading, I have ultimately decided that it is not an unpardonable error to skip the battle of Waterloo scene. There now remains only Alpaca name calling.

P.S. In Blogger's terms of agreement, there is no "in sickness or in health clause," so I am allowing myself to take some days off of blogging without feeling quilty. Not that I have been posting faithfully anyway. Ah well.
On second thought, forget "Ah Well." I use that phrase far to much, and it conveys a rather Bertie Woosterish feel: a character which I appreciate, but shall not choose to imitate.

I'm back!

HI everybody! I'm not dead! I just thought that for a week I'd simply pretend computers didn't exist and stop and smell the roses. You really ought to. Don't read my blog; get out there and enjoy the fabulous February, uh, er... sunshine?
Or more accurately, go play in the rain, or snow drifts or whatever you have.
Anyway, soon I'll type you a nice long, long post.

The Latest to Today Show #2: The Alphabets

Alright, gentle readers, I am going to force, (whoops, I mean treat) you to watch another episode of the Latest to Today Show. So, uh, hang on to your seats.

A couple of things before you watch:

We officially apologize for the instruments: the flat piano and the sharp guitar. Our piano's sound board or whatever, (How would I know the anatomy of a piano?) is split down the middle so it is un-tune-able. Oh, and we named the guitar "Tuneless Tina." Let's just leave it at that.

And I would make apologies for being so weird, but I can never shake the feeling that is presumptuous. Because after all, no matter how strange you are, there's always someone moreso. Besides, we aren't being weird, we are only acting weird. And "weird" is completely relative.

But I still can't believe I'm posting this!

Lazy Ophy

I haven't been very consistent with my blogging as of late. I believe that the problem lies in the fact that I have been feeling lazy, and laziness isn't exactly inspiring. Here is a video, which won't require me to put any effort into writing.

Enjoy!
Elsie Marley's grown so fine,
She won't get up to feed the swine,
But lies in bed till eight or nine,
Lazy Elsie Marley.
At the present moment, that fits me to a T.

Public Apology.

My dear, gentle and maybe slightly aggravated readers, I, known only to you as Ophelia, deeply apologize.
I sincerely hope that you are asking, "Why, since she's so perfect, is she apologizing?" but I highly doubt it.
I've been a bad, bad girl. Last night, my mother took me aside and showed me the errors of my ways.*Gasping followed by sobbing pierces the air* Punctuation errors. And Grammar errors. Lots of them. What you see now is the corrected version.
My main problem is that I am addicted to commas. I tend to throw rules to the wind and follow my heart when it comes to punctuation because it's so much more expressive that way. Actually, I'm rather proud of myself for not placing a comma before that "because" because that is one of my most frequent errors. In conclusion, I will try to do better, but until then, let's just say those little so-called, "mistakes" are me taking advantage of poetic license.
P.S. As a side note, my mother claims that poetic license is just an excuse for being lazy.
